The parade route begins at Melody Lane traveling north on Ocean Blvd. and turning left on Surfside Drive to Poplar Drive. Rented
FLOATS will be lined up on 16th Avenue South, regular (non-rented floats) entries will be lined up on Melody Lane. There will be numbers marked on the streets for all participants, and volunteers to help you find your place.
Please enter from Highway 17 business onto 14th Avenue South and turn right onto Poplar Drive, to Melody Lane. Numbers (approximately) 80 and higher will be on Poplar Drive; numbers lower than that will be on Melody Lane. Rented floats will be situated on 16th Avenue South.
• Please bring the number given to you at this meeting and bring it the day of the parade.
Numbers must be affixed to the PASSENGER side of the vehicle to be seen by the judges.
• There will be no rain date for this event.
• A licensed driver must drive all vehicles.
• Please be aware that Melody Lane will be closed to traffic starting at noon - plan accordingly
• Please have people dropped off on 14th Avenue South and ask them to walk to Melody Lane to meet your group
• Once parade begins, PLEASE keep up with the float or entry ahead of you to avoid gaps!
• Soft candy may be thrown underhand from either side of your vehicle. For safety reasons do not throw candy in front of or behind your vehicle. NO SANTA SUITES you can wear a santa hat
• Large groups must carpool for safety and traffic control, and children must be supervised at all times.
NEW THIS YEAR! Prizes will be awarded for best entries at the end of the parade. Announcements of winners will be made from the reviewing stand at the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Surfside Drive after the parade is over.
